i upgraded the headlight harness. I bought 2 spools of 12 gauge wire red and black, 2 relays, 2 fuse holders, 2 headlight sockets, a bunch of crimp terminals, wire loom, and electrical tape and zip ties. wait here is a link http://www.geocities.com/craigbraceg...htharness.html its not hard at all.my wat seems easier since i didnt go under the fender to mount the relays. There is no point in upgrading the other harnesses since the wattage is 5, 8, or 27 no 40/60 or 80/100.

what kind of bulb r u replacing? 1157 are a dual filament (8/27 watt) bulb for running lights and brake lights. 1156 are single filament for reverse and turn signal(27 watt) and 198 are single filament (5? watt)side marker lights. anyway the stock wires can handle 27 watts just fine. I used 50 watt 1156 with no problems.

sorry i didnt make it clear, but what im saying is can the wiring harness handle 5-10 more watts for each 1156, 1157, and 194 bulb than its stock wattage, or will it melt the harness or housing in the future, if you leave the lights on all the time?
