Bought a GXE, miss my SE. (PICS included)
Hey guys,
Bought the 90 GXE about 2 months ago, after having my SE totalled by somone coming through a red light.
I like the GXE, but I think the SE was faster, better acceleration, and better at high speeds. The GXE has fine road manners, the seating is great, as with all 3rd gens, but I think it lacks the speed, and the power falls off too fast.
A purist I am, I'm tempted to do a few mods, nothing too much outside of my purists thinking tho, so a few suggestions won't hurt.
Probably:
* A filter charger
* catback (as long as it's not too much drone)
* wheels and tires
* some exterior cosmetics
* suspension mods
Here are a few pics:

Did this car originally come from the NE area, because you're in GA. Whenever I see under hood and chassis pics of cars from this area I'm always drawn to the rust. I've worked on cars where the owners live down by the beach (Florida) and if these owners new exactly what the underside of their car looks like they would be surprised. These cars I hated to work on because every bolt you touch there's always the possibility the bolt will break, even with penetrating oil. And when you're working flat rate you really dont have time to let the oil penetrate. Not to go off ranting, welcome back to the family

Also the engine bay just looks old, my previus max was spotless inside the bay, think I'll haveto do some work there too.

The impact blacked me out, so I guess I woke up a little smarter, and decided not to spend all my money on a car I still wanted a 3rd gen, and this one was at a great price with only 144K.
Upside: $$$$ for mods
