dead battery, dead alternator or what?
well, two day ago I started my car like normal and drove it about 5 minutes. I turned it off and went into the store for about 10 minutes. I came back out and it wouldn't start. the radio worked, the windows rolled up really slow and the sunroof closed really slow. I got a jump and it ran fine, no problems.
Today I tried starting it and it would not start. I got a jump and it would run while it was connected to the other car, but as soon as it disconnected, it would die. I went and got a new battery this afternoon and it was fine until tonight. I stoppede at a store and it would't start.
I had noticed my headlights were a bit dimmer than normal, but not much. after I got a jump tonight, it got all the way home, but when I put on my brakes, the headlights would dim.
does anyone have any idea what is wrong? I think something is grounded and draining my battery and draining the power from the alternator. this sound right?
I did nothing to it before this happened.

certainly alternator... it's happened to me twice.
get an alternator w/a warranty, it's a simple remove and replace job, search for a write up you'll find a dozen or two.(just don't break a bolt)
get your new battery tested just in case too, dead alternators are rough on a battery.
good luck
