You will never have to worry about backpressure.

Under-drive pulleys free up horsepower. The way the UDP do this is because they are smaller in size and they are light-weight. You might have some electrical problems with the UDP if you have a stereo system with amps installed. The power to the alternator is reduced because of the UDP.

Re: Will this work for an Automatic?

yes it will...and who has it for $110? Summit? is it an Unorthodox Racing one?

for those of you that want to know more about the Underrive Pulley, here's the website: http://www.flatlinemotorsports.com/html/techstuff.htm

Contrary to popular belief, it does NOT increase bearing wear, it more or less relieves the bearing because theres less stress..Take my work for it..this is a great bange for the buck upgrade! I've had it on all of my maximas (the RIP'ed 90SE5spd and my curreny 92GXEauto. You should get someone to install it for you (about $60) if you don't know what your doing.

Oh yeah.. http://www.courtesyparts.com has them for $190...get it while you can because the list price went from $210 to $235 which mean courtesy's prices might be going up soon also! They sell the Unorthodox Racing pulley, which is the only brand I would trust...mainly because others have used it (as well as myself) and have had no problems...but if you have a stereo ( greater than 400 watts RMS) then the Pulley is NOT for you.

Somebody said if you get a cap, you should be fine. Is this true?
