Alternator noise showing up on LCD, any ideas?
I just redid some of my indash computer for GPS /MP3 and I'm having a little problem with what appears to be alternator noise showing up on my Composit LCD. The screen is still readable but faint lines will scroll across the screen. The faster the engine rpm the faster the lines move. Everything is grounded fine, so I'm wondering if my alternator might be going bad and it is causing the interferance. Any of you guys have experience with this type of problem?

Yeah, cable is a cheap one but it wasn't something I bought, it was something I scrounged up somewhere in the house because it was only three feet long. In my first setup the computer was in the trunk so I actually bought a nice 20 foot cable and it didn't have any problems now that I think of it. When I moved the computer into the dash I just used the shorter cable because there was simply less to deal with. Guess I will be making a trip to get some good RCA cables to hopefully solve this. I'll post back later if it works. Thanks for the help guys.
