Alarm goes off opening truck w/ key
Basically, if all the doors are locked and I open the trunk with a key, the alarm will sound.
The keypad on the door comes in real handy in the time being as that's the only way to open the trunk without opening the door.
Anybody have a problem like this? and better yet, anybody know what the problem is? Thanks.

i have the same issue with my trunk.
what i've been advised to do is...check the wiring for the alarm that runs up the driver's side trunk arm and to the alarm solenoid at the lock. if it's damaged...there's why you have the problem. if the wiring appears to be fine. try re-grounding the negative lead to the alarm solenoid for the trunk.

My SE has the same problem and it is related to the Anti-Theft control unit located under the stearing wheel. As I have not troubleshot this subsystem yet, I just disconnected the connector from the control unit. Eveything will still work as normal, but just don't have the whimpy OEM alarm. After I get all of my other small issues knocked out, I will probably replace the control unit with a junk-yard special.
