For those with aftermarket antenas

For those with aftermarket antenas

I was thinking about shaving my antenna when I paint my car and replacing it with a rear windshield mounted one, like off of a newer volkswagen, or something similiar. Any input from people who have switched. Hard to do? Sound quality,etc?

my buddy did kinda the same thing he shaved his but i think used a carphone style radio antenna and it works nice and looks clean id say go for it youd be the first one with that and it sounds cool to me.

No, i definitely wouldn't be the first one with it, there's a guy on here wiht a acura mdx antenna, and i think maybe another couple, so I can't take credit for the idea. thanks for the info though.
