Good old "Lock Timer box"

I have a 92 GXE. I have previously read a few posts about re-soldering the connections in the lock timer box inorder to get the power locks working again. I decided to attempt the repair. I removed my lower dash to get at the box, and the clicking is coming from a black plastic box below and to the right of the steering wheel. Is this the lock timer box? For some reason I did not expect it to be a flimsy plastic box. Just wanted to double check before I start ripping stuff apart.

Cheers,
Matthew

Yes, it's that little box (4" x 3" x 1") that's clicking. I left the box casing attached and slid out the circuit board out from the bottom.

When I first looked at the door lock timer board, I saw some really faded solder joints. So I fixed those and plugged it in my car and it didn't work. Hmm, so I took it back out to take a closer look at it. I found one of the biggest joints on the board had a hairline crack in it. I fixed it 1.5 years ago and it's been working ever since.

If you've never soldered before, PLEASE practice on an old remote control or old computer part. Once you are confident about making perfect pretty solders, then you can try it.
