ITs not my car, my friends car.

Its a '92 VE motor with auto transmission. seems to have all the SE features, ie dual tip muffler, spoiler, white faced gauges, fog lights, etc... but the back of the car confuses me. on my '91 SE, the bottom part of the trunk is blacked out but on my buddy's the same part is red. Is this an SE like i think it is? or a fully loaded GXE?

also, who would win in a race? his VE-auto or my VG 5spd?

Its an SE

They changed the rear valence for 92... all cars (SE & GXE) went to a red and clear rear valence panel. And I think that it would eat you for lunch even though its auto.......you maybe lose 15 hp at the most to auto tranny, and he would still have 15 on you

VG vs VE

From what I know, the VE will win, but not by much. Your VG will pull strong and give him a run for his money though.

It's probably an SE. There are others here who will know for sure like Matt93GXE

shift PERFECTLY

and it'll be a close race. Mess up and you're gone because all he has to do is put his foot to the floor.

Re: hmmmmm........

DA-MAX.. your figures are a litte off. You say a VG 5-spd does 16.8-16.9 but my VG AUTO did 16.9 STOCK. VG 5-spd does around 16.2-16.5 and VE AUTO does around 16.1-16.3
