cilmate Air

I have the digital climite control in my Max and was wondering if when anyone else turns on there front screen demister that only it works and the AC kicks in and making the car colder. Is there a way to modify this or is it broken any help?

When you turn on the front defogger, the A/C kicks in (unless it's below 2 degrees celsius) to help remove the moisture on the windshield. If you find it too cold, just turn up the temperature. The A/C will still dehumidify the air hitting the windshield, but it will be warmer.

I already found that u just turnned up the heat a bit more. Was wondering if it was wrong because whats the point of having the A/C on if u want warm air, I know that it clears the screen quicker. But if u could have the disister on all the time with out the a/c I wouldn't be so worried.

thanks for the reply

Can't check this right now (my car is in the shop), but try hitting the defrost button, then the econ button and see if that stops the A/C from kicking in. Econ is supposed to give you heat without A/C, but I'm not sure if the defrost button overrides the A/C or vice versa.

On mine defrost overrides all other functions. Which is a pain in the @$$. And people think that computerizing cars makes things easier, just more diffacult to modify

Does any one else have any ideas.
