Just bought 92 for my daughter - how do I reprogram the keyless entry with new code?

ok, well welcome to the org. Let me answer this one. It will take one minute of yoru time On the top of this page there is a button that says search on it. I have done a write up, detailed instructions on how to make the keyless entry work.
Do a search on Keyless or keypad or keyless entry. You will find it. Make certain that you search in the 3rd gen forum by clicking the right hand side of the search querry section...

I believe that under the passenger side dashboard, somewhere under the glovebox there is a sticker with a number on it. You gotta type that number in on the keypad and then enter the new code that you want. Something like that. Try doing a search I know there were a few threads on it before.

edit - Holy crap you guys reply fast at the time I wrote this there were no replies

1. Locate the “S” number on the DTES control unit located under the dashboard on the passenger side of the car (Sxxxxxx).
2. Open the door then close it.
3. Lock the door by pressing the “Lock” key on the keypad.
4. Press the “Start” key on the keypad followed by the “S” number recorded from the DTES control unit.
5. During the long beep, enter in the desired four-digit, personalized code on the keypad.
6. If successful, the keypad will make four, short, double-beeps after the long beep.

To unlock the doors using the personal, four-digit code, press the “Start” key on the keypad followed by the four digit code. After the proper code is entered, all doors will unlock.

its such a cool function. I love it because not only do i not need to fish for my keys when its blazing hot in FL, but i can also roll down my front windows or open the trunk as well.

I know. The DTES is one of the best features available. I wonder why they stopped offering the feature as an option. The only thing that you need is your memory. Great for the cold morning when you are at 7-11 getting some coffee.
