Corner Light Rewire #3
Corner Light Rewire #3
Hey what's up guys. I was looking at Craig's Maxima page in the how to's and I decided I would like to do the 3rd cornering light rewire. I already did the 2nd one which makes the corners bright all the time.
If you take a look over here:
http://www.geocities.com/bracecraig/...ax_rewire.html
and scroll down to where it says "Cornering light rewire 3" you will see that it says you need to buy a relay.
It's a bit unclear on what is needed so my question is, do you need one relay for each side meaning buy 2 relays or do you just need one? I'm guessing you need 2 from the looks of the pictures.
Anyone actually do this rewire? Thanks for the help

Corner light rewire #3 however keeps the little corner bulb on all the time(with the headlights) and in addition to being on all the time it also blinks with the blinker. I think it's better to have the corner bulb on all the time so you don't have an empty black spot at night.
One quick question. I went to Radio Shack today and looked for the relay and the only "single post double throw" relay I found was a "PC SPDT Relay". Will that work?
Also is there a specific type of wire I need? Radio Shack carries solid and frayed. I'm guessing I should use frayed since the wires in the car now are also frayed. Any specific gauge or anything?
Once again thank you guys!

i've yet to try the corner light rewire. i'm just scared that since the light will always be bright, the extra heat may melt something. i'm prolly just paranoid, but have that ever happen to anyone before?

Any specific gauge that I need? Thanks dude.
Oh and what about the thingys to connect the wires to the relay? "Female butt connecters" I really don't wanna ask that to the Radio Shack guy it sounds kinda funny

when the parking lights are off, it'll blink in unison with the front blinker
well i went to radio shack and got some 'squeeze in' connectors. box of 7 cost like 2 bucks, anyways, the rewire took 2 minutes top per corner light, plus the rewire looks clean and no electrical tape all over the place

So then what exactly is the difference between 1 and 3? 3 Blinks in Unison while 1 alternates?
As long as that 194 bulb is constantly on then I'm just gonna do Corner rewire #1.
Thanks for the help man.
