Hi, all.
What all of you (OK, scratch that, Matt and others with actual knowledge, what do you think) about ball joints? I know with some stuff (sensors, etc.) it's stupid to buy anything but OEM. Should I pay the extra for OEM for these? Or should I just get the $100/pair NAPA lifetime warranty ones, a pair of MOOG's for $70, or a set of cheap Master Rides for $50? How much difference is there between the good ones and the cheap ones? All have a lifetime warranty.

if they have a lifetime warenty id just get the cheapest ones sh*t i just put 40$ pair autozone ones on my car and they still feel tight after 10K so i think there fine
How much are the OE ones. Personally I would go with either the moog or OE depending on the price difference.

BTW, last time I checked PepBoys and Autozone ball joints were, in fact, NOT made out of pot metal.

They aren't? who told you that. Crack one open and look.
BTW both balljoints were over 10 yrs old when they broke. one was on a car with 65k the other my extremely abused truck with 140k.

autozone or pep boys brand is completely fine! No reason to dish out all that cash for oem when the autozone will last just as long
OE parts are around $60-70 per side. I would go with aftermarket and grab yourself a $30 balljoint and use the extra bones on synthetic oils, etc...
another point I would like to make, doesn't matter what kinds of balljoints you got in your car but if you keep on driving over potholes then nothing would last forever. So, I truly think that better driving skill counts too.

Sweet! Good idea. I'll switch to synthetic oil in my 170,000 mile VG!
I think I will go aftermarket, though. Sounds like there's no reason to shell out the extra dough.
