the truth comes out

I'm not sure if this has ever been posted before but it has been asked many times and I finally found out how to do it (after thinking it was done a different way for a while). For those of you that want to know how to adjust your idle on the VG what you do is turn the screw on the ecu clockwise all of the way (while the engine is running). Next, you need to get out of the car and go to your Idle Air Control Valve (also called the Auxiliary Air Control Valve) and turn the screw that is under the black cap until you get your desired idle. FSM says to adjust it to 700 rpm +/- 50 rpm.

I know that, but common sense would say idle adjustment is "General Maintenance," correct?

Now look at the 3rd post down inside the General Maintenance Reference Links sticky.

but you should know not everyone looks at the stickies.

i'm not sure a newbie to cars would even know what general maintenance means, if you know what i mean.

but oh well... i'm sorry for trying to help people on this board.

Not everyone searches either so where does that leave us?
