i don't expect the overall shape to change, but the front and rear should be drasticly different

http://www.freshalloy.com has some preliminary drawings of what it should look like...

Re: If it even resembles the drawing

exactly.....

probably a vq30dd or DE putting out 190-200 hp and torque. package that with a sport suspension (should be a 4 wheel independant since it is on a new platform - they've vowed to get rid of the beam), limited slip or helical differentail, and nissan reliability and I'll take two!

Damn Skippy

specially when you think about what will happen to the Max if th Altima takes it class in size and power, i can only think the Max will go larger on the Q45 scale and probably about $30-40,,Ithink not for the Altima offering everything I would want...The rear did look nice about the grill it was a little off but remember this is not the actual car just a sketch.

Re: Damn Skippy

From what i understand the maxima is supposed to be built on an extended version of the new altima platform. it will get bigger and heavier. it may reqch q45 proportions, but more realisticly like the toyota avalon.

The altima will take over the battle between the accord and camry. It should be powered by the new 4 cylinder based on the VQ as the KA is phased out. Displacement could be 2.0-2.5L power out put from the 4 should be equal or better to what the base se-r will be putting out. It will probably increase in size to what the current max is or a little bigger....

but check out fresh alloy for more info

http://www.freshalloy.com/cars/nissan/altima/2002.html

Hope this clears some things up
