Whatever happened to this project?
leeit2me finished the setup and was boosting for a while...I think he broke the system back down to make some changes, but it was running. search the general forum, he made a post with completed pictures over the summer.

I had to do my timing belt and water pump so since then I haven't put it back. After shredding couple of belts, I'm looking into machining out a new pulley. (I feel your pain 4th gen S/C owners, I too shred belts
) The major issue if the alignment of the belt, thats what causing the shredding. So either I have to reinforce the mounting plate or make a guide for the belt from moving around. Machining the new pulley will be my last mod to this supercharger project. I am moving on to TURBO CHARGING, it's much less hassle in mechanical moving parts..I think a turbo in any car is the best way to go.
So, you might ask how much psi it puts out? Last time I check it was boosting 3 to 3.5 psi when I am pushing it at 4000 to 4500 rpm. ****ty numbers, huh? You have to take in account that my design is direct drive, which means it's running straight on the AC belt and it's a T-3 compressor side. I don't have a gear or belt reduction, this is the flaw of my design. So the pulley was made small to able to turn faster. I do not have the skills or the time to design a reduction system. So, was it worth the headache to just get 3 psi out of this unit? **** YEAH!!!!!. If I didn't do this project someone will eventually do it. Then I would kick myself, "damn I thought about that idea, but I never got my lazy *** and have to ***** to do it". For any of you guys wanting to go into force induction, choose wisely...
