What transmision oil........

What transmision oil could I put on my 90 Maxima 5 std.When I put first gear it will go slow util when it goes high rmp.you think that I need a new clutch,or change the oil. The guy that sold me that car told me that he hasnt change the oil when he bought the car like 7 yrs.Guys tell me what to do.

I forgot the exact weight for which the FSM calls for, but I believe it was a 85w90 or similar. Make sure it is a GL-4 Certified gear oil. I am using Amsoil 75w140 Gear oil because the 75w90 did not have a GL-4 Certification on it, while the 75w140 did.

I dont understand what your trying to say. Normally the car is slower in the lower RPM's than it is in the higher RPM's
