smoke

if you have a valve cover breather (one of those cheap mini filters) what does it mean if there is a bit of smoke coming out of it every once in a while?

that's normal. it's a small amount of blow-by on the pistons and such. oil hitting the bottom of the pistons and burning off.. crap scraped off cylinder walls and such. happens on every car. (which is why there's hoses running back into the intake to burn this stuff off)
