Roadkilled a 95 Z28(auto LT1) twice. Last fall he ran a 13.94 at Great Lakes Dragway. Since then he has put on a CAI and a cat back exhaust so he was real cocky I mean confident. Kill #1: We caught the light and we both looked over and smiled so I knew the race was on. When the light turned green he got the jump by a car. I it gave 80% throttle and was spinning the tires through first gear. I hit second gear then floored it and I was reeling him in. I then passed him up with the greatest of ease.

Kill #2: We were rolling down 72 through busse woods, a common midwest meeting point for many internet car sites, at about 35 mph. I was in second gear. He raised his arm to signify the start. He dropped his hand, I floored it and at the top end of second I looked into the drivers side mirror and he was back by more than two car lengths. Wow I pulled him like a bad tooth!!!!!

He pulled along side me with his hand up in the air and his index and middle finger pointed downward moving in a forward and backward scissor type motion. He was telling me that I had walked him.

He will never look at a another Maxima in the same way again!!! Heeee Heeeeee.

How was that Z28 geared? He must have been running something like a 3.73 (gets off the line quicker).

What were his mods?

 

high 13's on a Z28? I have a friend with a 97 and the most he could extract was a 14.4 from it. He even had Borla exhaust and a chip I think. I was at the racetrack and saw for myself.

Nice kill though! I want a 95 SE 5 speed and a supercharger.
