timing advance, where?
timing advance, where?
i was gonna change my timing belt, prev maint, then i read a few posts about the advance, sounds good.
but i dont know where to go to get this kind of thing done and the price. i have a VG. an im soon to be gettin littlepiggie's cai.
what kinda shops do that anyways??

You shouldn't have to take it in to do this. Real simple procedure. Make sure after it's done you use 91 octane (premium gas). Search works too.

ignition timing is easy to advance. anybody with a timing light can do it.
Changing the timing belt and water pump (you should change it when you do the belt), aren't an easy DIY thing.
I'm on the south side of Houston, and I'll be glad to do the work for $25/hour. that's less than half what most shops charge, and you'll know it's done right. I think it takes about 6-8 hours for the water pump and timing belt.
