Popping sound

I've searched a thread with the same problem but no one posted anything. I have this loud popping from underneath the front end when I either hit the brakes or accelerate quickly. It almost sounds like an axle when it is on its way out but it doesn't make the noise when I turn. It has been getting louder lately.
What could this be? Any info would be greatly appreciated.

Yeah I have same issue haven't looked into it though. I was told it's probably either wheel bearings or tie rod ends.

could be wheel bearings however they make a rubbing/grinding sound when they go. the tie rods could be your culprit if they are loose.

Probably a bushing /mount of some sort
I.E. motor mount or control arm bushings
My money is on control arm bushings.
Pretty common to go on this car.
Got complete arms available new.

yup.. do a search on "worn control arm bushing" or something like that and you'll find my thread. I'll rebuild them for $130/set if you want, or you can buy new ones from me or Brian. your choice.

The guy I bought the car from knew that both control arms were shot but only changed the driver side, what an idiot.
