Tokico/Sprint suspension install
Tokico/Sprint suspension install
Hey every one.. I just wanted to post about my new suspension setup, This past weekend I installed all four tokico struts and sprint springs.
the rear installation took my friend and I, 4 hours.. we were taking our time.. and alittle drunk, the installation is a very simple concept, the only hard part is braking some bolts free, and spring compressing, very long and boring.. I recommend getting a tire iron for the compressor)
the front were super easy 2 hours (next day), the only wired part is compressing that stock spring.(use a hammer to get the clamps into place) the stock spring ,decompressed, is soo big.
*If ur going to do a suspension mod like this I recommend
-new dust boots and bump stops.. all around
-getting gloves (I have cuts all over my hands)
-WD40 and hammer all bolts, because some of them are on very very very tight
-get a friend with a big adjustable wrench to help with the rear cartridges (that stock rear seal bolt is on tight and its a B*tch
- ****get a big *** breaker bar, and a large adjustable wrench
after the installation: my car is super low, it looks great!..
the wheel gap is 2 inches on both sides in the front
the rear is about 3.5 inches in the rear..
- the ride quality is not good, u can feel every little crack in the road
--performance wise.. omfg wow!! I love it, the car feels like a F1 racer..hehe
steering response is increased dramatically ... 300% less body roll my braking feels soo much more powerful and its a very fun/stiff ride
- if u live in a city with alot of bad roads.. I would not recommend this combo, but then again it maybe well worth the bumps
still working on pics.. my comp/digi cam is broken
...i'm happy
