lights and nothing else...

OK, I tried to post this question in the audio forum but I suspect that I'm not worthy since I'm still running my stock bose, lol.

The lights on my Bose light up (all except for the display). But, I can't get the thing to turn on anymore. If I hit the power button I can hear my antenna motor going up and down, but nothing else happens. I dug around a bit and saw a couple posts that mention a fuse in headunit. I can't seem to find it. I've checked the fuses under the hood, and under the dash and they look good. Any ideas?

Thanks guys (and gals)

I went to Walmart bought a jensen cd played for like 60 bucks then order the wiring harness from crutchfield to hook it into the bose system for like 50 bucks and now she's runnin fine. but I had the same problem till i replaced the unit.

Yeah, I'm fearing that's where I'm headed as well. I'll probably upgrade the system in my 4th gen and move that Bose into my 93 (assuming it will hook up the same). I just hate to do it because I'm a cheap bastid and I'd really rather fix what I already have, lol.

Thanks,
Spencer

I might have to try to splice it together then. Still wish I could just figure out what's wrong with the one that's already in there, lol.

it is really simple to connect it - u need 4th gen. harness and aftermaket harness for 3d gen ... make an adapter from these two.

BTW, if you use this crappy adapter with an aftermaket NU in place of BOSE one - be carefull with the volume ... these adapters hold up to 25watt peak (most aftermarket go 40watt peak and up).

don't even bother with an adapter just hardwire the 95 up connector into the original wires and pitch the earlier connector.

whatever suits you (but I'd keep the factory one in place)

Nissan changed the connector design in 95 across all the line.
so even 94 altima's are different than 95 as far as the harness goes
