Someone broke into my car doors where open but instead of hitting the trunk release then used a hammer punch to pop the trunk lid lock cylinder out.. along with breaking some plastic. do they make replacement lock cylinders or do i need to get a new lid ?

 

If the metal isn't damaged much (and I'm thinking, with a hammer punch, there's got to be SOME damage), I'm sure you could get a lock cylinder from any junk yard. Although, with that, you'll be resigned to carrying two keys.

Another alternative, would be to just fill in the hole, prime and paint it, and just use the inside trunk release to open your trunk.

And finally, the most (in my opinion) extreme alternative would be to just get a whole new lock set - trunk, doors, ignition, and glove compartment - and replace everything! Nissan sells those, I'm pretty sure.

 

Y not just buy the trunk lock and have it rekeyed to match your existing key!

But that key looks nothing like mine. Kinda reminds me of my old Sentra key, for some reason...
