couple of b pipe questions

i'm about to replace my b pipe and muffler and i have a couple questions.

should i get the 2.25in or 2.50in bpipe? i have a stock cat.

i emailed warpspeed and they told me if i get a sstraight through muffler i'll need a resonator on the bpipe. which muffler should i get and where from? i just want a stock sound nothing too annoyingly loud.

does the bpipe need to be welded to the muffler?

thanks,
ken

I ordered the WSP b-pipe over the summer with a magnaflow SS oval muffler. Here is my take on what to do:

Get the 2.25" b-pipe. Unless you plan on doing some serious modding, I feel like the 2.5" is a bit overkill and slows down exhaust velocity at low RPMs. I could feel my low end get worse after the b-pipe install. Of course my top end improved a bit, but 90% of my driving is under 4k, so it's less practical. As for a resonator, if you get the small oval magnaflow with the tips already on them, get a BIG resonator. I have an 18" resonator with my car and it is still really loud. Granted, I have the VE engine which has a higher output but I still recommend a large resonator. The magnaflow has a terrific tone, but it is just loud. Finally, the b-pipe will probably have to be welded to the muffler, but it is possible that you could use a clamp. It all depends on what the inlet to the muffler is like. I hope that helps.

I have a WP 2.5" y-pipe, 2.5" Magnaflow cat, WP 2.5" b-pipe w/ straight thru muffler, and a WP CAI and my low end picked up nicely. It's loud as hell but only when I lay tha hammer down !! I got a 24" resonator on mine and the tone comes out ssswweett!! Not raspy and not ricey at all. When I get a chance I'll put some sound clips up
