First - I found my coolant leak. There is a two-bolt flange right below the readiator hose on the intake manifold in the front of the engine - I noticed some coolant around there, and it looks like I probably just need to replace the gasket in there. First question: How much of a PITA woudl it be to do that and what would be involved? Second question - where is the T-Stat - I am thinking maybe I need a new one, and if it's in there I can replace it while I'm there.

Second - Do the VTC's make a 'tack-tack-tack' noise at idle when operating correctly? I know DOHC engines are noisy, but mine makes that 'tack-tack-tack' noise at idle - rev the engine at all and it goes away. It only ever makes that noise at idle.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
