Change the CAS?
Change the CAS?
Ok, after reviewing some of the other responses on my same problem about my car loosing power when i accelerate, i am planning on changing out the cam positioning sensor. Since it's an expensive part, i want to make sure that it is the part that's causing the problem. Do u think this is a wise choice since no computer diagnosis is able to tell me for sure that this is the problem? (refer back to my old post on "loosing power" to read more in depth on the problem)
Thx

have you checked the coil packs? those seem to have problems pretty often on the ve and i would think those would cause acceleration problems. i wouldn't know first hand since i don't own a ve so maybe a ve owner could go more in depth on what i'm speaking of.
If I remember right, you have replaced all of the coil packs, right?
Before you go and buy a new cam sensor, I would look through the parts for sale/wanted 3rd gen forums. I think there are a couple of guys with VE parts cars that might be able to help.
Maybe you could find someone up there willing to swap out one for a test run and see if the same problems arise. I would try it, but I am about 6 hours away.
