Is it worth putting money into?
My car has 180000 miles on it. The winshield wipers just broke, the back two windows go down but not up, the clock has a shortage, and the cruise control works sometimes. Do you think I should even bother putting money into this car, or should I look for a better Maxima?

my Max lasted me until 220k miles, those all sound like simple probs...fix those and you could get many more miles out of that car
what do you mean the wipers "broke"? could simply be the wiper motor or even a fuse...or do you mean "physically" broke?
the window prob is probably your regulators...$40 part for each side, a pretty simle DIY fix
not sure on the c/c prob, but who needs it anyways

Windows probably need regulators. and that's the only thing I'd bother to fix personally
I sell window regulators

if your rear windows dont go up with the main switch but go up with the individuals.. then definately the master power window switch needs to be replaced... i JUST fixed mine today.. i heard it cost about $100us.. but im up here in canada where it cost about $200.... anyways.. if all the main components of your car are in good condition.. ie. engine, tranny etc.. i say put the money in... the maxima is a solid car.. dont let little electrical problems get in your way! best of luck!

Is any car worth putting money into? Go buy a brand new car and see how much it is worth in 5 years. Go buy ANY car and see how much it is worth in 5 years.
At least if you fix the broken stuff, you know what doesn't need to be replaced. If you go buy another car, you will just run into more problems, unless you buy a new car, then you will watch the value plummet, but you won't be able to complain about stuff not working.
If you like the car, keep it. If you don't like it, dump it. There are lots of guys here who love maximas and would gladly take it off your hands cheap.
The things you mention are pretty small for a car with 180k, but it's all up to you.
