Fot those with the Addco Rear Anti-Sway Bar

Are the urethane bushings always red? I recently purchased one through a GD and have had some trouble with the bushings. The first set was a red firm plastic like material but they sent the wrong sizes. After making arrangements with the vendor to have replacements sent, I received black rubbery like brushings that smelled like rubber. Am I right in assuming that the black brushings are not the optional urethane bushings? I don’t know anything about urethane.
Thanks
Gil

Mine were red and very solid. Looks like you got a set of stock rubber bushings. Ask for the urethane.

yeesh.. call 'em up and gripe at 'em again.. you shouldn't be using soft rubber with that bar. too much give. urethane is a must. they should be red (from energy suspension, btw)

Thanks I just sent Brian at Cattman Performance an email (GD was through them) to please have Addco send the urethane brushings. Addco had already messed up twice with this order?

Instead of waiting, you could just go down the the local autostore and dig for the right ones. I know you "SHOULDN'T" have to pay for the correct stuff but it's not that expensive and you could probably have the bar on weeks faster. Prinicple vs reality I guess.

The bushings I received with my addco were black also. After a few weeks they started squeeking pretty good, so I only assumed they were urethane. I have since quieted them down, but would like to know if they are the correct (urethane) ones. Anyone else receive black bushings? Or are all ES bushings red?

ES also has their graphite impregnated bushings which are dark grey/black in color.. but they're going to be hard just like the red ones. if theyr'e soft rubber, then they sent you the wrong stuff.

It's hit and miss sometimes with Addco. Apparently there are supposed to be two types of sway bar kits they can send you. One with rubber bushings all around, and another with urethane ones.

When I got mine I got a wierd "hybrid" set with rubber endlink bushings and urethane bar bushings. I decided not to persue the matter...
