Maf

Good mornin,

What are signs of a bad MAF?
Does the MAF have to seat straing be stable. What happens if it's a little tilted? Does this mess up it's function as to how much air it controls in? Because mine is sitting on a little angle due to the K&n filter. I would say 10-15 degree angle.

thanks guys

I have a K&N on my max too, which makes my maf a little tilted, but I haven't had any problems with it yet. I don't believe it's the angle because the air will flow through it, no matter what angle it's at. Some of the signs of a bad maf that I've experienced are when I would accelerate hard, the engine would feel like it's cutting out. Also when it got real bad, it wouldn't idle right and sometimes it wouldn't stay on. Just my .02
