Painting My Doors Saturday.... need some help

Ok the doors on my car are getting painted this weekend. I am changing color and doing the doors jams and everything. My boss is doing this at work, we have a paint booth but no stands to hold doors or anything. We're thinking about rigging something up so that we can hang them from the ceiling. What method did you use on your doors for paint? Mounting them on the vehicle is not an option because The jams wouldn't get proper coverage and I wont have the body available anyways.

dude i jambed the doors and the pilars, then hung them on the car, then shot the car. use the foam tape around the doors when you're shooting outside and you wont be able to see an tape line. drop me an email and ill send you pics of when i did mine( like you dont know what painted doors off a car look like , right?)

either make some cheap saw horses, or use some garbage cans or something to hold them doors outer panle face down, and mask it off so you dont get overspray on the outside making it harder to block it out later.

go to the hardware store and buy some electrical conduit...shouldnt be expensive. Now bend them in a U shape. Connect them in the middle (so that it makes an X) on each end. Get a strap or rope to keep them from seperating too much. Then get some pipe covering foam (sell it to keep pipes from freezing) and put that on the top. There you go the perfect stand for painting doors.

Good luck.
