New to the 3rd gen forums

Hi, my name is Don and I am new to the Nissan Maxima forums. I am thinking about purchasing a 1989 Maxima GXE from my ex boss. I like it, and I can get it cheap. It has 207,xxx miles on it. Wow, that's alot!! But it is still fast. I cannot use the search, so I was wondering if someone could give me a link to some 3rd gen Maxima sound clips or post the sound clips. I am thinking about getting a AfterBurner muffler. Cause my friend has one on his Plymouth Laser and it sounds "awesome". Anyways, I just wanted to say hi. Later

~Don~

My car has 228k miles and it is still pushing. Due to the fact that I got into an accident and my tranny was right into a shift when my car got hit the tranny is beginning to slip a little bit. Other than that these car last as long as you can take care of it.

Talking about fast I beat a 2000 Civic when I needed a tune-up, tires, and exhaust. Now since I got all of those fixed the max is crazy. I beat my friends Integra with it and he was pushing some NOS. BTW these cars handle well in all weather.

What up man? Yaaay! Iowa Yaaay! Welcome to the org. So you haven't bought the max yet? I suggest (if you have about 3000 to spend) looking for a '92-'94 Maxima SE. It has a bigger engine (30 more ponies)...but thats just a thought. My sis had a 89 GXE with 210k and it ran great.
