just today my motor starts making this rapping and tapping sound at idle ( sounds like valves) i hit the gas for a minute and it goes away, then comes back i know its not vtc's (i just fixed them) it sounds like valves. i cant stand this i just dropped 2400 bucks to fix this thing and now it sounds like a busted oil pump ??? man the max is maxin out my wallet......

 

What type of oil are you runnin?

 

it very well could be your VTC's

why dont you try grounding them to be sure its not but i bet its them

did the guy give you a warerenty on his work if he did he should have to fix them

 

noise went away it may have been a clogged oil valley from the assembly grease, but if it comes back .......

 

hopfully it dont come back

 

i hope not after the cash i dropped in it, if it does im sueing the mechanic, im still ****ed my mechanic was out on surgery (for his nknee and yes he is ok witch i found out first) the guy i brought it too left the lower radiator hose off so it overheated, the timing was set WAAAY wrong, my fstb was never put back on the list goes on now this clacking ? and i KNOW what vtc's sound like and this sound was definitly not it....

 

play the warrenty card :-D
