If the crank pulley is the "front" of the engine, then the 'right' exhaust manifold is the one closest to the front of the car. At any rate, Ebay, www.car-part.com and here on the org are all good places to find a replacement. I'd be willing to bet that the manifold cracked because an exhaust stud or two broke and so the manifold slowly warped, and then cracked over time. When you do this job, be sure to replace all the exhuast studs. Click this link to see how it's done. As for how hard the job is, the front side is usually ~3-4 hours and the rear can be more because it's more cramped.

actually, it is the opposite. the way they name the side is if it were a rwd car and you were looking at the engine from inside the car, therefore the right side of our engines is closest to the firewall and the leftside is closest to the front.

Oh, ok. I had read on the org that it was based upon the pulley as the "front". Thanks for the correction and sorry for spreading the misinformation.

Quick question. Should someone with no real experience under the hood try something like this? It sounds difficult and I need to know if it's worth it to do it myself. I have shop lifts and everything.

closest to the fire wall is the right manifold. to get it off you'll have to unbolt the y-pipe from it and then there are 6 nuts on the manifold itself that you have to remove. you need to be very careful when removing those nuts because the studs are very weak and can break very easily and that is expensive/hard to fix.

you'll be able to feel them missing when you go to try taking the nuts off.
