1st good news
i got my BFG comp ta drag radials on and boy do they hook up
heres some pics

now for the bad news they hook so well i no longer have a 1st gear
let me explain i put them on 2 thursdays ago right before work so i went to work and got on it a few times and they were great they would only break loose if i droped 1st above 4k or so and i didnt even heat them up or anything so i get to work and everythings fine. well when i go to leave after work i pull out on to the main road in first and lay into it at about 3k well tipicaly the old tires would break loose and rip to red line but these didnt ofcourse but at about 3.5k my car startes to vibrate bad so i let off and put it in 2nd, kind off confused i figured maybe it was my clutch slipping (ha ya right act slip no way) and get on the highway everythings fine except when i get off the highway and come to a stop light. the light turns green im in first and let out the clutch well theres nothing there it just revs. so NO more 1st for me i just have to pull my tranny and fix it since it needs 2nd and 3rd gear syncros and input shaft bearings to and then im getting it CRYO TREATED. so for now im wearing my clutch down even faster starting out in second and rolling through stop signs like crazy but im very happy with the tires

So your tranny was kind of flucked before you put them on? Or did running the tires cause the tranny to go?
I was just curious, since (if I can get my engine running right) I was considering a set of something similar for my car, but I don't want to destroy my tranny in the process.

I pity you for having to start out in second gear with an ACT.
I let my Mom drive my car around and a habbit of hers is to start in second, well her gearing is muchhhhh different than the maxipads (her scoobie has no powah
). lets just say it only happened twice, once was well, the first time, twice was a oops I forgot.

well my tranny was sorta fine besides the grinding noise in nuetral (input bearings) and grinding when shifting fast into second and third (syncros)Originally Posted by Red92MaxSE

but it wasa still very drive able and more importantly RACEABLE
i personally think it was just a fluke and not all people will have this problem since youd think the boosted guys would be blowing there trannys left and right
