I had my 89' GXE for two years now it has 143,000 miles is it to late to get started with modifications? I want to make it handle better and I need more power before I start with the accessories anyone with advice?

Thanx for the info....I am fixing up the ol'max and I need Motor Mounts thats getting taken care off but now I am ordering some Powered Slotted Rotors(about $86.00each)with some Beck Arnley metal brake pads ($47.00each)....I am on a budget do u think that is a good choice?

i really dont know about that. i dont have slotted rotors so i wouldnt know. but quite a few guys have said that they are no better than stock, that you can get the same performance from nice brake pads on stock rotors. so if you get them dont expect a huge difference over stock. i'm gonna get slotted rotors, but only for visual appearence. but if you have some rims on it, slotted rotors look really nice. it depends if your getting them mainly for performance or looks.

I didn't mod my car till it had 190k miles on it. Also for a high mileage engine my was quite strong. IMHO go for suspension first because it makes a more noticeable difference. But then again for power mods all you need is CAI, Y pipe, JWT ECU, UDP. I would keep stock exhaust because there isn't much gained but noise.
