What does it mean....

When I can't disengage my clutch?

As in I push the pedal in, but the F*cking thing won't actually go into gear.

Had to limp home today, powershifting the stupid *****, taking back roads and running stop signs because I can't actually stop the damn car without turning it off.

I'm getting so angry, because it's always something with this damn car.

Throwout bearing? Slave Cylinder?

The day before I go to the track too.

is the pedal stuck on the floor?
is the clutch fluid the right level?
any leaks - either above the clutch pedal in the cabin, at the slave cylinder above the starter, master cylinder, or on the hose that goes to the slave.
any noises?

have someone else push the clutch and watch the slave cylinder to make sure it's pushing on the shift fork thingy

Clutch fluid is at the right level, slave cylinder is pushing the right amount on the fork..

We're thinking now that it might be the pressure plate or something, there are no strange noises like the bearing seized, and I can feel the pedal pulsating as I push it down. Won't know till it's apart, and I'm sure I won't be racing at the drags tomorrow.

This is getting very discouraging.

Tearing it down tonight? You could probably get it all figured out and put back together and be ready for tommarrow, assuming nothing is broken.

Man, all I did was install it, bleed it and walla! Been the same since the first time I drove it.

does your pedal have a lot of play in it or feel easy to push to the floor?

When I first got it, mine wouldn't go out of gear. The pedal bracket was broken and the bolt at the top was broken out. Instead of pushing the clutch in, the whole bracket was pivoting. It actually seemed pretty close to normal, but I couldn't get it into first and getting out of gear was nearly impossible.

redmax - he said the slave cylinder is operating fine so I think the pedal is engaging correctly

keelan - I can't really think of anything else outside that would be causing you problems like that so I think you'll have to open it up unfortunately and see what's going on in there. Good luck

Well. That would be the problem.

Remember on sesame street; "one of these things just doesn't belong here"

Well, compare the spring on the left to the others.

Here's some spare pieces I found in the clutch housing (Say that looks like the retainer and inner spring for the last pic) :

And another case of "which spring isn't right?" :

More pics: http://ghettomods.net/gallery/bustedclutch

Daikin (exedy) is going to accept the clutch for warranty, and the only downside is that I need to deal with the smacktards I bought it from, who jerked me around for 2 weeks when I first bought it. DO NOT BUY FROM MOREPOWERRACING.COM! !!

Email them the pics and demand a replacement or refund to be sent out immediately. They need to take care of you first so you can get your car back together asap. Make sure they know this. Don't accept "we have to inspect the unit and wait for the maker's evaluation" thing. Offer to email the maker directly if you have to. If you get the maker's email/contact info, be sure to express your displeasure of supplier's customer service to you

Well this sucks. They promised me to overnight the new one when I gave them a tracking # for the old one. An hour later I sent the tracking # and all of a sudden it becomes "well we cant overnight it now, UPS already left. We'll try again tomorrow"
