I got hit by a frigging Pontiac Aztek tonight going to dinner, damn thing slammed into my front driver's side quarter panel, it's totally FUBAR up front.

They had to tow it from the scene because it wasn't drivable, I'm going to take a look at it tomorrow and see if I can get some pictures and check it out. I don't have a lot of hope, it was leaking oil and ATF all over the road and the front end doesn't look real straight.

So, I may be getting yet another car, we'll see if this one is fixable.

Oh s***!! sorry dude! at least you're okay (and it was his fault!)
fake some neck pain and sue him for enough money to buy a new Max!

if your car is leaking ATF and oil, then yeah, it's FUBAR. the tranny fluid I can udnerstand leaking- if it blew the radiator and stuff.. but engine oil??? noooo..

if you are leaking oil, something's majorly screwed up. the easieat way to do that would be to knock your oil pan to pieces. the next step is to crack the block.

but jsut be glad noone was hurt (at least you didn't say so anyway).
Cars are replaceable. friends are not.

make sure you get the right insurance settlement from this ********, the Aztek can drive around messed up and no one would notice since those POSs are so brutal looking.

Thanks for the thoughts guys, everyone in the car is fine, just some bumps and bruises.

I'm heading down to the wreckers now to take a look at it, I'll let you know what I come up with.

PS - The Aztek barely took any damage, the front end was all dented in, but it actually popped back out while the cop was there. Broke his headlights, grille, etc.

The guy actually works for the local Pontiac dealer, I wonder what they're going to say about this little escapade

Okay, called the insurance company, adjustor comes to look at it Monday.

I took some pictures, I'll try and get them developed and scanned in tomorrow, it doesn't look good. It's left a huge oil spot on the pavement, not much ATF though, guess it lost all of that it's going to. I wasn't able to get underneath it and look, but as a guesstimate I'd say the front end is atleast 3" to the right out of alignment.

Basically, it looks totaled, have to see if I can get a better look at it tomorrow.

PS - It really sucks not to have a car!

Aztec!

Sorry to hear about the hit! Just one question, did the accident yield an improvement in the Aztec's looks?
