Alarm going off for no reason, HELP!!!

The factory alarm on my '92 Maxima SE started going off for no reason. The neighbors called the cops twice allready while I was at work. It usually starts going off after standing for a couple of hours. Can someone describe a process of disconnecting the alarm on this model? I was told that there is a sensor under the steering wheel shaft that I can adjust but after checking it out, I couldn't find anything besides tons of wires. Please help!!!

It's probably one of the pin switches/ground switches on the doors/hood/trunk.

The trunk is closed all the way. How do I check these pin/ground switches. Is there a way to completely disconnect the alarm or atleast the siren? Thanx

Is there a fuse for just the alarm? If so, then just pull the fuse and be on your merry way, unless that disables the ignition too. It's worth a try

I actually took out the fuse and the alarm was still active, I kind of assumed it would because in case someone does break into my car, taking out the fuse would be too easy of a way of getting the alarm to shut off.
