ok my check engine light came on yesterday so i decided to to get the codes off the ecu, i print off the instructions to do so and when i get dawn to do it i find out that my ecu is on the passenger side instead of the drivers side is there something wrong or is my car just "special"?

The ECU should be in the center console. So no your car isn't special

 

passenger side of the center console is what i ment sorry.
