i was wondering wat all the possible factors contributing to my problems could be. my steering wheel shakes really hard wen im going about 65+. i did a trouble shoot search on autozone.com and this is the list.

1 Inspect MOTOR MOUNT Loose or broken motor mount.

2 Inspect EXHAUST SYSTEM Damaged or restricted exhaust system components.

3 Inspect CV HALFSHAFT (REMANUFACTURED) Dry,Worn or damaged cv half-shaft

4 Inspect ADJUSTING SLEEVE Improperly aligned adjusting sleeve or other steering component.

5 Inspect TRANSMISSION MOUNT Loose or broken transmission mount.

6 Inspect TIE ROD END Loose, worn or incorrectly adjusted tie rod end(s).

7 Inspect STEERING STABILIZER BRACKET Loose or broken steering stabilizer bracket

8 Inspect PITMAN ARM Worn pitman arm or other front end part(s).

9 Inspect IDLER ARM Worn idler arm or other front end part(s).

10 Inspect BALL JOINT - LOWER Worn or damaged lower ball joints

11 Inspect BALL JOINT - UPPER Worn or damaged upper ball joints.

which one is the most common on 3rd gens?

of all those things listed it could be the most simple of solutions....the wheels may not be balanced

also could be a bent rim or LOOSE LUGNUTS or uneven tire pressure ... when the wheels are off the ground SAFELY SUPPORT THE CAR try to wiggle the wheels (grab top +bottom of wheel )+notice any movement ='s bad ball joint or wheel bearing

I'm gonna say balance the wheels.
While a bent rim won't neccesarily show up on the balance, it will also cause that shake, as well as a broken belt in the tire.
When was the last alignment?
