Looks good! How well does the paint match from underneath the moldings? From the pictures it looks like it matches well.

It matches...100% the amount of fading isnt noticed due to the indent of the moulding, so it looks flawless.

The ones I had were fading, and I had seen them off on a couple maximas b4, so I liked the look and didnt need to worry about not having the side bump stops, so... here is the result !

I am happy.

Next time you should weed through your pics first and try to lose some of the repetitive ones..

The molding removal looks good, and it does not seem to have any color mismatch.

I am still deciding if I want to take mine off. Mostly because of the color (red) I think any discoloration underneath would look pretty bad.

I don't think there's any discoloration on any cars...it's the same on mine...I think the moldings actually preserve the paint underneath.

I used a hair drier to heat up the plastic piece and pulley that off by hand.

Then i spent a little over 2 hours per door using an old t-shirt rags and a gallon of paint thinner to remove the sticky stuff. So all in all a 10 hour job.

After completing this i helped a buddy remove his Impreza decal on his WRX, and lo and behold it was the same adhesive, but this time I decided just to keep heating the metal with the drier, and found that it ***** up nicely if you warm it up.... try that, then go over it with the paint thinner to remove and excess residue.

Worked great for me, and it can work great for you too!

your car confuses me. It is an SE, right? How do you have your third brake light behind the rear window? and what's up with the 89-91 grille?

anyway, excellent work. I plan to take off my moldings sometime soon.

That looks great! All you need now is a short shifter.
