fuel injector confusion???

Hey whats up everyone. ok let me apalogize in advance for my ignorance (but i guess thats why these forums exist)

OK i was having a rough running problem on my 91 max ge and it turns out that one of my injectors has died. so i am looking into the options and doing my research of whats involved to change them. what turns up is that i have to know whether my injector has a "blue dot" or a "black dot". Now i have a single cam engine and i suppose the dual cam has a different fuel injector, at least thats the only explanaition i can think of. but i mean come on, doesnt it sound a little stupid for that to be the only way to differentiate between the injectors. it really doesnt amke any sense to me. i mean thats the best thing the dealer can think of is to use different color dots??\

ONce a gain i aapalogize if this is just ignorance, but will someone please explain the reason for the 2 different injectors and the difference between them. also, before i pull my intake manifold, which kind of injectors do i have? thanx alot
