How long does Ebiach & Tokio combo last?
I have had Ebiach springs and Tokio struts for about two years. Now all of the sudden I am getting a squeeking sound from the rear. Took it to Pep Boys and they said that I need struts, springs and possible mounts. I can understand the struts and maybe mounts, but dont the springs suppose to last longer than that? The car is still sitting the same height as when the springs were first put on and except for the noise in the back, there is no extra bounce when hitting bumps. New control arms (real name slipped my mind) were also installed in the rear to try to solve the problem. I usually just stick to reading posts to get most of my answers, but i have not read on the forum about this problem in the past. Thanks to anyone who either had this problem or know of someone who had this problem and can advise me.
2 years 7 months 22 days 9 hours and 21 minutes.
That is exactly how long they should last.
LOL just messing with you. I have no idea but believe that Toks have a lifetime warranty so you can send them back. The springs will last a long long time though. Maybe they thought you had stock springs and they were sagging since they are lowering springs.
The strut mounts do wear out though. Look to see if there are any cracks and such in your mounts.

Thanks for the quick response. I was thinking the same thing about the springs. I just got off the phone with Shox.com and they will send me a new set of struts. They will charge me for the new set then credit me for it if tokico deems them broken. I am going to take the max to another shop and get their opinion. Dont want to wind up with two pair of rear struts because Pepboys want to take the easy way out (say everything connected to the strut is bad). The guy from Shox.com mentioned Koni stuts. How are they compared to Tokico's
Koni are the best. They are adjustable but you have to adjust them off the car before you put them on. I think you can pay extra or send them to Koni and have them make it where you can adjust them after they are installed but I dont know of any one that has done this.
I've had my set for anout 9 months and am now getting allot of sqeaking/squishing from the rear. Brought the max to my mechanic to take a look and turns out the rear strut inserts are bad. Just ordered the replacement from Shox.com yesterday. Have to return the origionals to them for credit.
