lightened pulley

Well since it looks like I'll be taking off my stock pulley to fix my oil leak hopefully coming from the front crankshaft seal, Im planning on getting a lightened pulley. I found one for $120 for my car. Was wondering if anyone could give me any tips for the install and would like to know of any sites I could order a pulley from for maybe cheaper. I got a 92max dohc ve.

This site says the pulley is for 90-94 3.0L DOHC Maximas??

http://www.rpmoutlet.com/aspimp.htm#nissan

DOHC = VE....., and VE = 1992 - 1994 SE Maxima only.

I was under the impression that the VG and VE pulley are not interchangable. So will this pulley fit a VG? Does anyone actually have an ASP pulley on their VG?

Looks like it would probably work np for you smokyman13, seeing as you have the VE. (why didn't I buy a VE..... )

ASP only sells pulleys for the VE. they have the years listed incorrectly on the application. the VG pulley does not fit the VE, or vice-versa. the front main oil seal on the VE rides on the snout on the crank pulley and not the crank itself....
The VG front main seal actually rides on the crankshaft inside the oil pump, BEHIND the timing belt...

Soooo, the VE pulley snout is slightly longer than the VG pulley to make that happen.
