Hey Brad...that's all I was talking about. You just hit the nail on the head. Stock housing -- with projectors.
I don't suppose you did a write up on the install?...

LOL no they are not stock housings. Those are E36 projectors.

Thats what I have been saying. Why do aftermarket projectors in the factory housings when you can get E36 projectors for cheaper.

but he's saying that he wants to be orig and get something else in a stock housing.

i don't know how would u even get a cover to work with that. the stock glass housing is not idea for projectors what so ever.

I thought I was clear, but let's try again...
I'm not trying to be original per se, I actually thought it would make things easier on me (somehow) to use the stock housing.
So, to correct you Dan, I actually DO want to achieve the exact look of the E36.
You see kids, when I started asking questions, I thought it was necesary to actually cut into the frame of the car to get the bimmer lights to sit properly.
Now I know one can just use the E36 as is.
My fear was, that without body work they wouldn't sit right.
Alot of installs apeared to stick out, or were slanted. Of course, I've seen examples of good intalls too, like Brad's and awsm's.
As for the stock glass, it (presumably) would be removed and replaced with a clear cover.

So again, alot of these earlier questions were before I knew what the process was to install.

Let's wave goodbye to that.

So about those Skyline tails...just kidding
