tokico

sorry for the story but kinda sucks how my passenger side strut just blown and i just got these [tokicos] a month ago, hahaha. I heard something go pop when i pressed the brakes. At first i thought the brake line popped because i pressed the brakes; but when I check the brakelines, it seemed fine. But there was all this oil on the ground and on the fender wells....looked at the strut and the strut seemed fine. After checking everything i decided to do a damper test and just push all the sides of the car. And the passenger side (where i heard the pop) had some sort of weird guzzling sound in the strut and it was bouncing up and down dramatically. Sucks.....now i have to get a new strut

Tokico covers their struts with a lifetime warranty provided that you don't damage them. (tool marks on pistons, improper installation...)

I purchased my original set from www.shox.com

When they died, I bought a new set from the same company. Then I shipped the old ones back to them with my original invoice and requested a check instead of new parts.

About a month later, I got a check for $365 in the mail.

Alternatively, you could pull the shock, ship of it off, and twiddle your thumbs for a while....
