Hello everyone,
I am just expressing my hate for this god damn car. I replaced two fuel injectors and now when its back together she still isnt running smooth. Cylinders 2 and 3 aren't working and right now im about to drive my car off a cliff.

So your complete and total lack of mechanical ability combined with your apparent ineptitude at troubleshooting your car means that it is a piece of crap? Brilliant!

 

No, I am just frustrated that my car is still not running well. Anyone can replace fuel injectors, but it seems like that isn’t my problem now. The two injectors that I did replace were reading over 20 ohms meaning they weren’t doing so hot.

I guess I posted this thread in hope that some people have any ideas about what could be the problem now.

it's still the same 2 cylinders?
then I'd also start thinking about a bad harness or something else goofy.
My legend had a resistor block that failed, friggin' part was $100 and special order!
but it did fix the problem thankfully.

 

I replaced injectors on the 3rd and 5th cylinders. Now the 2nd and 3rd cylinders aren't working. I have no clue what to think now.

 

Things brake, you fix them, and thier better. Even all the new cars have problems.

 

doesnt mean you cant hate your car. I hated my car a month ago too =(

 

I was pretty mad at mine a month but I take back all those bad names I called her over a small small crack distributor cap.

 

Well now, its smoking out the tail pipe a thick white/blueish smoke. Sometimes it bogs down to the point of where I have to go WOT for it to even start accelerating or maintain speed.

 

Sounds like its time for you to buy my 1992 SE 5 speed... that would solve your dead cylinders and get you a VE in the process...or get an 80's 300zx turbo motor and start the swapping

something must be horribly wrong with that A4 for that kind of price. You think you have probs now with your Nissan. Wait till you step into the world of VW/Audi. You will have electrical problems out the ying yang on those.

 

dude, i would call you something bad, but i understand your frustration and will help you out with an advice instead:

its been very well known that stock injectors on any 3rd gen are generaly weak. THEREFORE, if you replace only 2 injectors at a time, the other injectors will go bad sooner or later. save you money, and replace all 6, or another 4 in your case. im going to do the same, car runs like **** right now but in the long run, id rather replace all 6 than just 1 or two at a time.

my suggestion while youre waiting to come up with the money: get them professionaly cleaned up. should cost somewhere around $50 or so. they use a hose with a couple noses in it and hook it up to a can on the other side. dont know what the procedure is called but it helped my car run better and my check engine light is no longer on. just do that for now, and dont hate your car, cause it will hate you in return

 

It's a 15 year old car. If you don't want to dump money into it, ditch it and move on. As much it hurts to hear, not every 3rd gen is invincible and trouble-free for its entire life.

If you're blowing blue/white smoke, you've got much more severe problems than a bad injector. that's either oil or antifreeze.

pull the plugs out and run a compression test on it. sounds like you've blwon a head gasket.

 

especially with one that's been totalled and rebuilt. (scroll down at the pics. it's had the back end knocked off and replaced). that's why it's so cheap.

 

second the head gasket..white could also be oil in the comp. chamber

 

Similar problem here, and I thought of the head gasket, but in my case the car was fine before the injector change- no smoke at all, just running a bit rough. I knew I had one injector that was leaking a bit, which is why I chnged them in the first place. So, I can't see why changing the injectors would suddenly cause a head gasket problem...
When I started it up this morning, no major smoke, just a puffing sound from the exhaust. That's the same sound I had once before when I had a bad injector. Sure enough, I checked and the driver's side rear cylinder is not firing. Still can't figure it's a head gasket tho. More likely a bad injector.

 

fouling on plugs. is there oil on the plugs when you pull them out? i had an old impala that began oil fouling. became un-runnable. quickly.
