4 wheel disc brakes

On my 91 GXE, I only have disc brakes on the front, but the braking is very bad by default. I was thinking that if there was a way to replace the rear drums with disc brakes, that it could help quite a bit. I've driven in newer honda civics which have much beter braking.

My mechanic friend said that I just need to take off the back assembly from another maxima with it, but which peices would I need to convert it to 4wheel -disc brakes? And would it be worth it, or would there be something beter that would help with quicker braking?

There is an article on 4dsc.com outlining the exact procedure and parts needed for the swap. [shameless plug] I have 80% of the parts needed for the swap for sale. Check out *this* thread. [/shameless plug]

Do you think it's worth the money?

I have an SE, so it came w/ 4-wheel discs stock. However, going from a GM sedan with 4 wheel drums, to a GM sedan w/ front discs / rear drums, to a Max w/ 4 wheel discs, there was a dramatic improvement in braking each step of the way. How much of that is attributed to the fact that GM sucks and Nissan rules, I dunno. Matt93SE should be able to give you a better answer.
