Custom Wood Dash
Here's the scenario. I am looking for a wood dash made of Black Birdseye Maple (The wood trim inside of an E55 AMG is Black Birdseye Maple). So far, I have only found one company that will do that for me (Madera) but I am looking for others. Do you guys know of anyone who will get me that kind of wood trim?

Do you have a picture of the wood trim? I also am in the market for a woodgrain kit for my Maxima, tan interior, and think it would look real nice. I haven't found a specific wood I like the best yet. Maybe if Madera makes it for a few people we can get it cheaper?

a) That is a thought. I would like to see how many peeps would go for that.
b) In your case, I would go with a poplar or a walnut (like in a BMW X5) since you have a tan interior.
c) I would have to find a picture of an E55 interior to show you the wood trim.
Madera
Some time ago, I had asked Madera about the Black Birdseye Maple trim for my car and they said it would be $100 above the normal cost. I want to check with them again to see if they can pull my Black Birdseye Maple dream off. Since my car is gray and black on the inside, the Black Birdseye Maple would be a logical fit. I thought about the brushed aluminum, but I want the warmth of wood.
Shep, with the colors of your car, I would definitely look at a poplar or walnut. I know there are so many people who do burlwood and rosewood. But it seems that the lighter colored woods are making some inroads. I saw a lot of cars at this year's auto show with lighter toned woods and these woods really complemented the interiors they were in.
